Having picked up a hire car at Brisbane Airport we drove South and arrived at Ewingsdale Hall near Byron Bay around 6:30pm. Met Neolie, Yvonne, David, Tracey, Dale, Pete, Strongie, Lyn and Dale (there must have been more but my memory for names is rubbish). All were helping decorate the hall for tomorrow's big event.
David joined us driving to Suffolk Park. It seems pretty certain that Neolie and David had booked us the best place in the whole park (thanks guys!).
Caught up with Taison who we hadn't seen since he was 12, and finally met Troy of whom we'd heard so many good things.
Walked down to nearby tavern with David, Strongie and Lyn and had a couple of beers.
When we got back from the pub, Steve, David and Strongie went down to the beach to see the stars. It was a truly awesome sight. Obviously being in the Southern hemisphere, most of the sky was unrecognisable to Steve. Most striking was the clarity of the Milky Way. This surpassed the night skies we saw from Maui on our honeymoon. It was breathtaking.
Got to bed at sensible time ready for the wedding day.
