We started the day with a walking tour around the beautiful city of Girona including a climb up to the old city with the cathedral, city walls, etc. A small section of the wall dated back to 3rd century Roman times.
We set off cycling from Girona around 1pm, carrying the remains of our picnic from the previous day. Around 2pm, Ryan found us a nice spot overlooking the town of Quart and we all stopped for another picnic.
After another nice picnic we set off cycling through more open plains on a relatively flat terrain.
We met up with Samu who had cycled from San Feliu de Guixols, having dropped the van and luggage off. We made a beer/coke/juice stop in Llagostera.
Then we made the final push, spotting the sea, at last, over tennis courts on the outskirts of Sant Feliu.
We'd made it; cycling from Ripoll in the Pyrenees to the Mediterranean Sea at San Feliu de Guixols. Well done to all of us!
We had a nice meal in town where we debated who would try the optional challenging ride tomorrow.
